- DESY Linux 5 (SuSE 8.2 / Kernel 2.4.x) was our production release as of 2004-08-25 and is now being retired

- DESY Linux 4 (SuSE 7.2 / Kernel 2.4.x) has been our production release from June 2002 to August 2004 and is now being retired. It does not support graphics adaptors of DESY Standard PCs after November 2003
- DESY Linux 3 (SuSE 6.3 / Kernel 2.2.x) has been production release from March 2000 until June 2002.
- DESY Linux 2 (SuSE 6.1 / Kernel 2.2.x) was production release from December 1999 until February 2000. Support was terminated in July 2000, the distribution is no longer available.
- DESY Linux 1 (SuSE 5.2 / Kernel 2.0.3x) was production release from autumn 1998 until November 1999 and is no longer available.
