Windows 7 Trainings Since June 2011 the central Windows operating system at DESY will be exchanged from Windows XP to Windows 7. This makes training arrangements necessary in the subject area administration as well as end use. Therefore IT-Training offers Windows 7 courses for administrators as well as for users to make the migration to Windows 7 as easy as possible. If you should be interested in a Windows 7 course please send an email to it-training@desy.de.

IT Courses (IT-Training) If required IT-Training organises IT courses and workshops for all DESY colleagues or DESY groups. If there are not enough participants for a DESY course, IT-Training is also prepared to find a place for the training in an "open" seminar (if possible). For further information about courses for DESY employees please click on the left side of this page on the menu item 'IT courses'. For our deaf colleagues we organise a sign language interpreter for the requested course(s). Support for Conferences IT offers mobile devices for conferences, workshops and other events. The devices are 40 portable desktop PCs which can be provided with Windows or Linux. If you need these devices or have questions about this issue please refer as early as possible with the below mentioned statements to meeting.service@desy.de: How much devices will be needed? In which period the devices will be needed (When shall the devices be set up and when shall they be removed)? Which configuration is estimated (e.g. operating system; If necessary additional software)? Where shall the devices be set up (building, room)? Please also think of enough tables, chairs, power and network sockets.
