The Group IT Networks & Operations
The ITNetworks & Operations Group provides the basic communication infrastructure like the data network or telephone system.
In detail our tasks are:
- We operate the data network, including the entire campus and computing center network, the Internet Connection and the Wireless Data Network.
- We provide Remote Access to the data network via VPN.
- We operate the desy.de internet domain and provide basic network services like the Domain Name Service (DNS) or Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
- We run the DESY telefonsystem with analog, ip and isdn phones.
- We provide mobile phones.
