the launch of Registry 2.0 has not only resulted in a modified web interface, but also in significant changes to the forms management. Forms for the allocation of VPN (VPN Commitment Form) as well as the creation of accounts (Registry Sign On Form) and the deregistration of persons (Registry Sign Off Form) are no longer required.
Registry Sign On
When logging on for the first time with a new account at https://registry.desy.de or from externally at https://passwd.desy.de, users are requested to acknowledge the Central works agreement (CWA) and to state whether they are using the IT systems exclusively for business purposes or also slightly for private purposes. This is an acknowledgement of the CWA, therefore a signed form is no longer necessary as before.

Please note the following exception: For minors (e.g. student interns), a parent or guardian signature is required. For these cases there is a button called "Account Form" on the top right of the "Modify Account" page. This way you can generate the classic form and have the parent or guardian sign it. Afterwards, please send the form with signatures to the UCO by interoffice mail or by mail to uco@desy.de.

VPN Commitment
Once the VPN resource has been assigned, the next time users log on to https://registry.desy.de or externally to https://passwd.desy.de, a corresponding text (VPN Commitment) is displayed, which they must accept. This also makes the previous VPN form superfluous.

Registry Sign Off
The deregistration of persons is done via the Registry in the section "Account" -> "Leaving Person". If a person leaves DESY, you can set here what should happen with the accounts assigned to the person. Here you also confirm that the users have been informed that they must have deleted their personal data before leaving. This procedure also makes the registry logoff form superfluous.
The routing slip (so-called "Laufzettel") from the personnel administration has been adapted in such a way that the persons leaving DESY visit you as the responsible persons for a signature. With your signature on the routing slip (Laufzettel), you confirm that you have taken care of the scheduling of the computer accesses (main account) and, if necessary, the transfer of further accounts.
Old versions of the routing slip (Laufzettel) are currently still in circulation, so that persons leaving DESY will still come by the UCO for a signature for a certain time. In these cases, the helpdesk will contact you accordingly.
Detailed information on the "Leaving Person" feature will appear in the Admin section of the Registry Documentation in the coming weeks:
