You can find the possibilities and functional range of wikis, that are attached by DESY.
The basic idea of the wiki is to work collaboratively on texts, if necessary complemented with pictures and other media. It is the target of the wiki to share the knowledge and experience of the authors.
We developed DESY-specific changes in connection with the official wiki-support. The connection to the DESY-registry and with it the enabled central permission management. In addition to that the availability of add-ons can be unlocked for sharing scientific information within the wiki. Besides that the support of the Web-Office hosts a central highly available, high-performance MediaWiki cluster and databackend for all DESY-wiki-instances.
