E-Mail at DESY
For email, calendar, and contact management at DESY, the groupware system "Zimbra" is used.
The Zimbra web interface (https://mail.desy.de) is the primary tool recommended by DESY IT for accessing your emails, calendars, and contacts. It can be used from any device with internet access—all you need is an up-to-date browser (such as Firefox).
Through the Zimbra web interface, you have full access to all functions and settings of your account. Additionally, no data needs to be stored locally when using the web interface, which avoids potentially time-consuming synchronization processes.
If needed, Zimbra can also be accessed via email clients like Outlook and others. Instructions for this can be found in our Knowledge Base on XWiki.
