The Adress
After ordering you will get three different links from us:
1) A link to your website
The address by default looks like the following:
http://xxx.desy.de
xxx is the name of the site, e.g. the group name.
If you wish, we can order an individual domain. In this case the group pays the costs for registration.
Example 1: The Web-Office's website is reachable under following link:
http://wof.desy.de
Example 2: Terascale's website is reachable under following link:
http://www.terascale.de/
2) A link to your editorial office
The address looks like th following:
http://xxx.desy.de/manage
At this site the editors can log in and use the Content Management Systems to change the contents and keep them up to date.
Therefor editors need their registry-userid and password.
With the editorial office site you can add contents to your website
3) A link to your statistic site
The address normally looks like the following:
http://xxx.desy.de/stats/awstats.xxx.YYMM.html
xxx is the shortcut for the group
YY is the year
MM is the month
This site gives you an overview about the accesses on your website. In example It informs you about how often there were accesses.
The statistic gives you information about the number of accesses.
